Drug Uses

Generic Viagra is primarily administered as an assistive medication for treating male impotence, or erectile dysfunction; the drug fulfills this purpose by relaxing specific muscles, particularly those within and around the penis, and promoting blood flow on the same locations. How to take Generic Viagra

A prescription is recommended before intake of Generic Viagra; use of the drug must be under compliance with dosage directions of a physician, or as instructed on the product label. The drug is orally taken; it can be downed with water if necessary. It is normally taken as needed, with thirty minutes to an hour as intake period prior to sexual intercourse, but only once a day. Medications which contain nitrates may significantly and adversely interact with Generic Viagra, as well as bosentan, warfarin, and cimetidine; erythromycin or clarithromycin; doxazosin or prazosin; HIV drugs like amprenavir, tipranavir, darunavir, efavirenz, nevirapine, indinavir, saquinavir, lopinavir or ritonavir, fosamprenavir, ritonavir, atazanavir, and nelfinavir; itraconazole and ketoconazole; carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin; and rifampin or rifabutin.

Side Effects

An allergic reaction is an adverse effect which needs immediate medical care. If during sexual contact, symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, or pain and numbness on certain areas of the body are experienced, seek for medical care immediately. Other severe adverse effects can include hearing or vision problems; chest pain which spreads to the upper extremities, accompanied by queasiness; an irregular heart rate; swelling in areas in the hands, the ankles and feet; and erections which are prolonged for four hours and longer.

Missed Dose
